Nimitt, the 2-day annual B School fest of SPJIMR, hosted by the students of PGDSM-MIT was indeed a whopping success. The theme - "unleashing what lies beyond and beneath" is relevant in today's scenario wherein finding business solutions for empowering the population at the bottom of the pyramid are gaining importance. The event was declared open by Professor Sunil Rai, joint director of SPJIMR, in the gracious presence of Mr. Deepak Ghaisas (Vice chairman, i-flex solutions) and Mr Ninad Karpe (Managing Director, CA India & SAARC).

Tech Mahindra sponsored Anveshan - A case study contest, Atos Origin and TCS Sponsored Tatva 1&2 - Paper Presentation, TiE sponsored Aakruti - BPlan contest and McGraw Hill's Vedanta saw a huge success with over 350 participants and INR 2.5 lakhs worth prize money. Tark-Vitark -Corporate Panel discussion with panelists from organizations like NASSCOM, TTSL, ITC-IBD, Citigroup & Novell Technologies and Gurukul -Lecture series from the Guru's desk were much applauded events of Nimitt'07. Gurukul showcased varied perspectives on the theme starting from the young entrepreneur, Founder of Pagalguy.com moving on to a matured look from the top of the pyramid by AVP of Tech Mahindra and concluding with an international perspective by the US Consul General himself. Nakshatra - Star team contest, where the winners of all the events competed for the title of the stars was the concluding event of Nimitt '07. Team from IIMI performed marvelously and grabbed the title 'Nakshatra of Nimitt '07'.
Nimitt '07 has thus provided a unique opportunity to grind your thought process and empower team skills to work towards one goal "Unleashing what lies beyond and beneath". The event concluded on a loud note with a DJ party joined by students from all across the nation. Joint Director Prof. Sunil Rai applauded the organizers and quoted Nimitt '07 as a 'Landmark event in the history of SPJIMR'
